#51 - Anni Elif Egecioglu - Amanda Blomqvist - Verneri Pohjola

Drums, trumpet and vocals: a quite unusual line-up for contemporary jazz. The young drummer Amanda Blomqvist was born in Åland, a group of islands situated between Sweden and the Finnish mainland. Blomqvist plays free improvised music as well as experimental pop, and this could be the musical connection to the Swedish-Turkish singer and composer Anni Elif Egecioglu. The latter, born in Gothenburg and today living in Helsinki, combines classical music, pop, jazz and noise within several crossover projects. In addition the Finnish trumpeter Verneri Pohjola will be performing with this duo for the first time, promising an exciting experiment.
