#43 - Splashgirl

This Norwegian trio has been playing together since 2007 and combines jazz, contemporary music and minimal music in order to create a new entity. In past years, the musicians have played on many club and festival stages all over Europe and released five albums: "Doors.Keys" (2007); "Arbor" (2009); "Pressure" (2011); "Field Day Rituals " (2013) and  the lately "Hibernation" (2016), which enriches and expands the ensemble's chamber music sonic worlds with electronic sounds. Of course, this has nothing to do with the "classical" jazz piano trio. Andreas Stensland, Jo Berger Myhre and Andreas Lønmo Knudsrød create meditative power-centers which should be enjoyed like the boundlessness of arctic snowfields.
