#14 - The Wine Composer feat. Pauli Lyytinen

The Swede Tuomas A. Turunen, who lives in southern France, is one of Scandinavia's great romantics regarding jazz piano. He combines his homeland's folklore with the melodic side of jazz. Awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival piano competition in 2010, today he plays a decisive role in the internationally renowned Emil Brandquist Trio. As "Wine Composer", Turunen, who is currently living in southern France, visits wineries and "translates" their wines' aromas and tastes into music. By the way, the wine does not only determine harmonies and tones: to enrich their performances, but also visuals elements forming part of the performance.
