Street Marching

Bandarìa is the marching band of the Neapolitan Crossroads Improring project. South Tyrol will don exotic and exciting traits when this colourful formation plays its way through the province. The eleven musicians have it easy, considering that their home city is the street music capital of Italy. The city has been livened by the daily sound of music on pavements and squares for centuries now, both by bands and musicians. Nobody should be surprised if, on a Sunday morning, they get woken up by the neighbourhood’s musical band in one of Naple’s narrow alleys. This centuries-old tradition is complemented by contemporary jazz, collective improvisation and, of course, a passion for making music.
