Watch out – better cover your ears because it’s about to get loud! Bass player Caterina Palazzi founded the band in 2007 in Rome. It plays a repertoire which is influenced by noise, grunge, and progressive rock as well as free jazz. Clumsy, pounding rock riffs give way to melodic, lyrical insertions, so there’s never a dull moment for the audience. The ‘immensity’ of this music, which doesn’t seem to fear contamination, makes this quartet one outstanding addition to the contemporary Italian jazz scene. No surprise that the first cd, ‘Sudoku Killer’, was celebrated in specialist newspapers and magazines. ‘A brave new jazz which plunges into rock and resurfaces from its dive smeared with traces of punk’ declared the Il Corriere della Sera.
