Giovanni Falzone Mosche Elettriche

Giovanni Falzone dips his toes in both classical music and jazz. He discovered his instrument when playing in a band in his Sicilian hometown. His studies took him first to Palermo Conservatory and then to attending jazz courses at the Milan Conservatory. His ‘electric flies’ are a crossover project which combines jazz, rock, and contemporary music. In 2009, Falzone dedicated his ‘Around Jimi’ CD – which includes pieces from ‘Mosche Elettriche’ – to various artists, including Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davies. With his 2011 CD, ‘Around Ornette’, he retraced the musical footsteps of Ornette Coleman and Miles Davis, going on a journey leading to the ‘outer edges of jazz’, accompanied by exceptional musicians such as Francesco Bearzatti and Zeno De Rossi.
