Interzone refers to a collection of short stories by cult author William S. Burroughs. The ensemble has won over music critics in a short amount of time and, today, counts as one of the coolest Austrian jazz exports. The trio, led by trumpeter Mario Rom, plays following their slogan of ‘everything is permitted’. Their performance on stage is electrifying and has conquered the hearts of fans in Mexico, China, Israel, and the US. The Süddeutsche Zeitung, writes that their music is “grumpy, gruff, self-aware and dynamic” after having listened to their studio CD, ‘Everything is Permitted’. “Three wild tomboys, moulded by a life which was still out of reach, ready for everything”, confirmed Die Zeit. “Brillant!”, proclaimed the magazine Jazzthing.
