Gingerland Trio

The Little Band from Gingerland performs as a trio: a ‘stylish, awe-provoking ensemble which sways between folklore, pop, jazz, and sublime lyricism‘, according to the Wiener Zeitung when it reviewed this young art pop ensemble from the ‘Gingerland’, which will perform in South Tyrol without its usual drummer. They still pull it off as Angela Tröndle and Sophie Abraham (who will also perform as a duo during the Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige) are the scintillating core of this celebrated formation. They’ve weaved themselves into the Austrian musical landscape, so much so that one without the other is now unthinkable. Siegmar Brecher (Edi Nulz) accompanies the two women. The clarinet player trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and, like many other Austrian jazz musicians, at the Jazz department of the Music and Performing Arts in Graz.
