Chemical reactions are processes involving the formation of compounds with new properties, which release or absorb energy. Similar processes will take place in the realm of improvised music at this year's Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige. In the “Jazz Chemistry” series, two musicians from the invited bands collaborate on sonic experiments. These spontaneous musical reactions, called "Sonic Reactions", create new connections: ephemeral sound molecules or lasting musical bonds.
